made it to 37 week

Ok I have made it to 37 weeks,. I dont go back to the doc until Tuesday but I have started having lots of contractions maybe somewhere between 3 and 4 and hour. I have also had some blood tinged discharge and just not feeling very well today. I hope that this is not a sign that my DD is going to be coming soon. I hope that I can atleast make it to my appointment in a few days. I now if I call L&D they will tell me to come on in but then I will just be sent home again in a few hours so not sure what I should do.

Wait it out and see if your contractions become timeable! Why don't you want to go into labor before your appointment? If your LO is coming on their own at 37 weeks, I'm willing to be they're physically ready!

My l&d wouldn't have me come in until they were 5-6 minutes apart... It might be frequent bh but kind of sounds a lot like early labor to me. Is there a reason you are so nervous about going before your appointment?

I'd try to see if you can get them to stop. Eat and drink something, lay down for a while, take a shower, ect. If it is real labor nothing you do is going to stop it. Also remember your due date could be off by 2 weeks, so there is a good chance if your LO comes now it is just because they are ready. Good luck mama!

Ps. My lo came at 37 weeks. Besides being jaundice from my milk taking forever to ome in, he was perfectly ready!

I just checked her profile, looks like she's scheduled for a c-section. OP, drink some water and relax and see if they stop. If they don't, I would go in.

The reasin I am so nervous to go ahead and go in is because if my water has not broke they will just stop my labor, send me home and just tell me to stay in bed until I go see my OB on Tuesday. The contractions are staying about the same no matter what I do. My OB has also told me that unless medically neccessary he will not deliver my DD until 39 weeks. So I am at a loss here. I guess since I am due for a c-section and if DD wants to come naturally I guess Ob will just have to work with that, he does not want me to do that because my L&D does not support VBAC birhts. I guess if I have to since I know tha L&D will just send me home I will try to hold out until I can go see my OB. WIsh me luck ladies.

I haven't ever. Heard of them stopping contractions after 37 weeks. I'm sorry you have to do that. Good luck!

extremely uncommon,unless a medical reasoning?? That sucks! I encourage,natural coming babies and def support a vbac before a c-section(UNLESS MEDICALLY NEEDED) .Try to relax and gl!
