TMI spotting after sex

posted 17th Feb
I am 10 weeks pregnant and yesterday DH and I had sex in the afternoon and I had some TMI pink discharge. I went pee a few hours later and there was no more pink discharge. I went to bed, woke up this morning and peed and there was pink discharge again. I took a shower went pee after and there was nothing on the toilet paper.

I had a miscarriage a few months ago, so I start to think the worst with every twinge, cramp, and especially this. Please help set my mind at ease.

spotting is completely normal after sex. I have a really sensitive cervix with this baby. From week 5 to week 13 I had the exact spotting you are describing every day. It was from lifting ds and when I would grocery shop or do laundry...

After sex it's normal. If it is making you nervous, call your after hours line at your ob office and they can give you advice.

Thank you so much for responding. This makes me feel a lot better. These hormones make it so hard for me to think rationally.

Lol. I spotted every day for 8 weeks and was irrational about it every day.   Keep an eye on it, but sex (especially in the first trimester) can cause spotting after.

If I were you, I'd call your OB on Monday and refrain from sex in the meantime. You cervix is sensitive during pregnancy, so the spotting could be normal, but you should still let your OB know.

Yes. This too. Always mention spotting to ob.

tho I'd say more common than normal.

OP, your cervix is full of blood and more sensitive while pg and sex likely just irritated it. I know how you're feeling with the m/c worry, I had a loss right before this pg and worried constantly until I felt him move consistently (around 24w) and still worry when he's not overly active

i would steer clear of sex and rest as much as possible until you can see your obgyn id schedule an appointment as soon as possible just to be safe though sex can tear your skin and cause pink on the tp usually when miscarrying theress a brownish blood color to begin with. though to be safe have your obgyn check to see if your cervix is closed well

So I have an update. I bled again last night after some light house work earlier in the day. I went to the ER because I needed some sort of answer of why this happened again and I needed to know what my activity level should be. They gave me an U/S and baby is doing awesome and super active measuring at 11 weeks and 4 days and the hb is 154 bpm. They saw no bleed and my cervix is closed. So I need to take it easy I guess, my cervix is super sensitive.

Mine was the same way! I totally spotted after laundry or holding my son... My ob wasn't concerned really. I was just a spotter... It finally stopped for good the day I hit 13 weeks. Hope it stops for you soon!

I hope so too. I was thinking about your posts and your situation sounded identical to what I'm going through. I'm going to take it easy today and tomorrow.
