The screams...

At what age do babies find their voice and start playing with the volume?
LO has been screaming, shrieking , squealing like REALLY loud. He's not in pain, because he is laughing while doing it sometimes. The problem is that it's almost constant and my poor ears are bleeding.... and my nerves are so on edge.
He is teething like crazy too.

My son did that around 8 months I think. He stopped doing it after about a month but is now 14 months and still likes to yell pretty loud.

LO is 4 months so he just kinda laughs at me when I tell him to be a bit less loud   I'm a pretty quiet person so it really is getting on my nerves lol

DS started squealing loudly and screaming at 4 months too. At first I was worried, he sounded like he was in a lot of pain, but then I realized he was just playing with his voice.
It was cute for a little while then it was annoying. But He was learning so I tried not to let it bother me too much. He still does it every now and then but for the most part he has the volume under control. lol

I don't mind it if it was now and again, but it's like almost all the time.

DD did it around 5 months, stopped then started again. She goes through phases with it. I think it's hilarious, but I'm pretty noisey

DS started around 3-4 months, he's almost 6 months now and still doing it, and now he's started kicking his legs and flailing his arms while he's shreaking....he giggles after he does it, I think he's quite impressed with himself

I start to get a little irritated by it also - I'm usually ok all day, but after 6 or so hours of straight squeeling, it starts to get to me.

This too shall pass
