Ya they were being rude. I jst ignored it. I never been on here before. Yesterday was my first day. And i was surprised in the comments that were rude i thought this was about other women and parents giving advice and trying to help others.. i guess not i guess another one of them websites were people are drama queens and just want to start some mess over the internet with people they dont even know
Like that is mature at all.

Ummm yeah no difference..

"A normal full term pregnancy can be measured anywhere from 37 to 42 weeks in total. Once you reach week 37 in your pregnancy, if you were to begin labour your health care practitioner would not try to stop it at all and let you progress naturally until you gave birth. At 37 weeks, your little one’s body is complete and ready to function outside of the womb. The amount of amniotic fluid begins to decrease during this time of pregnancy and your little one may even begin to slow down the growth process, since it has most of the fat stores it needs in order to survive and regulate its own body temperature once born. So rest assured that if your labour was to begin anytime after your 37th week in pregnancy, it is still considered full term and you can look forward to a new little family member quite soon!"

.... since you wanna get all knit picky.

Anyways like the person above me said its her body and her child and she should just follow what her dr says...not some know it alls on a forum. This is my 4th child and ill do what is best for me and MY child...If that be being induced at 37 weeks or 41. No one knows another persons whole situation and therefore can't give their "medical opinion." Obviously a baby born at 40 weeks will do a little better than 37 weeks for the most part. But it's not up to you or someone else...baby will come when ready.

It's not always safe to deliver at 37 weeks. My DS was born at 37 weeks and he had a lot of problems that the doctor said were due to him being a little early. He's doing great now but we came pretty close to losing him. Babies have a higher chance of being jaundiced if they're early. Our doctor said that if DS had held out for 5 more days he probably would have been fine.

A due date can be off by 2 weeks. So what if that 37 week baby is actually only 35 weeks. That is why they call it term and not Full term. Full term at 40 weeks could mean that baby is only 38 weeks which is a much safer zone for that infant.
But even at that. The baby will come when THEY are ready. You're not pregnant forever.

That reference is simply wrong. Even common sense tells us that.

Once you fulfill the full 40 week term of pregnancy ... you are full term.

ACOG says you're wrong, and I think they are a much more reputable source on the topic than familyresource.com.
