Summer baby question

posted 16th Feb
My first son was born the middle of March...chilly, rainy weather...so there was really no question as to what to dress/cover him with. This one is due June 30th...so pretty much July. Last year here in July we were in the middle of a heat wave, it was upwards of 110+ every day. Does a newb still need to be in something like a footed sleeper in weather like that?! I know they can't regulate their body temperature well yet, so I don't want him to be too hot...but I don't want to freeze him out either. Ugh

If your baby was born in the summer and your in one of the southern/warmer states...what did they come home in?

A onesie with shorts over it (it was a matching outfit).

Mine was born in October, which is Spring here, and we're almost at the end of summer now. He lives in short sleeved onesies with no legs and socks   I overdressed him at the beginning because he was my first and i worried that he was too cold, but he definitely let me know I was doin it wrong lol

You could never go wrong with a footed sleeper. How long will they be out in the heat anyway? They'll be in the car mostly.

My first two were spring babies, BUT I am from Southwest Florida and they both went home in "summer outfits". By then the weather is hitting 80's to 90's already, lol.

My kids lived in onesies and short sleeved rompers with socks during the hot months.

I guess I'm mostly worried about the ride home. With him being rear faced, the A/C won't be hitting him at all, you know?

Sure, I understand. You could dress him light then when you get in the car add a blanket if needed.

It is hot and humid here is July, usually get at least a week of 110's. I brought DD home in a little dress, I ended up putting a onesie under it because it was cool the day I brought her home.
