He's sick and can't go to his dads...

posted 16th Feb
Overall this is frustrating, as I am a WAHM and was hoping to get work done this weekend, but ahhh...that's life.

Anyways my oldest started throwing up last night. He's still throwing up. But I talked to his dad last night and we both agreed that if he was feeling better by tomorrow,(sunday), that he could possibly still come over and visit.

Well I phoned them this morning, his dad lives with his parents, and well grandpa said absolutely no way could he come over.

So then I had to break the news to him. Poppa said absolutely not.

Jacob said, "Why not?"
Me, "Poppa's afraid you're going to make him sick."
Jacob, "Well that's what he gets for smoking."

I just chuckled.

"No Jake, he doesn't want you to get him sick to where he throws up."

Jacob, "oooh, ok."

He's still feeling sick but he felt well enough to ask for a breakfast corndog(he calls them sausage corndogs), I totally broke his heart when I told him he had to have applesauce, rice, or toast.

He's 6 and 1/2

That is absolutely bullsmurf of grandpa, IMO. I think it's time your sons father cut the cord & grew some balls.

Hope your little sweetheart feels better!

I don't really blame him, honestly. My DD goes every weekend to see her dad, I would keep her home if she was that sick.. And as far as the grandpa goes, I relate. I wouldn't want to get sick to the point where im throwing up. Idc who has it, they wont be coming near me haha.

He claims that the last time he was this sick he was sick for 19 days.

But IMO a stomach bug usually last 24-36 hours. So personally when I get sick tomorrow, I'd love to send him out the door you know?

But that's me.

He claims last time he was sick for 19 days because of what Jacob gave him. And he was just sick for 10 days with something. Quite literally just got over it yesterday.

So I understand. His dad just got a job within the last 2 months. He hasn't had a real job since we split in 2007
