We are usually pretty ok though, he doesn't tell me how to parent her either, he has always told me he knows I am a good mom, so no complaints on his part about me or what I do for her.

He is just sooooo stupid! I mean there is a reason I have sole custody and he has 0 custody.

My brother learned his lesson. He did that one night while he was drunk (it woke me up) so I came out of my bedroom with a baseball bat and hit him in the shins and then realized it was him.

I get scared living on my own. If the kids were older I'd have a gun, but I don't feel they are old enough for us to have a gun in the house because they don't know (well my 4 yr old does) about gun safety yet.

We are armed to the teeth! Seriously we have about a dozen guns and our kids are taught from the time they are in diapers that there is no touching the guns unless dadddy gives permission. A bat sounds like a nice addition though.

Oh yea and I'm not worried about my 4 yr old with the guns. He knows not to touch real guns and he has actually shot a shot gun before (his first gun and my little brother helped him with the proper protective gear obviously. My 2 year old though is something else so I just don't feel comfortable.

I can totally understand you not being comfy with it. It makes me nervous sometimes too, but my husband is a gun collector so I've calmed down a lot since we've met.

Lol my kids all asked for guns for Christmas. We didn't get them one but I'm not sure how long my husband will be able to resist. I figure they may as well learn from someone I trust and who knows what they are doing so my husband fits the bill. When we first met, I was a nervous wreck around guns. I now sleep with a .45 and I wouldn't have it any other way. I had a scary situation about 2 years ago where a drunk and high guy walked up to my house around 10 pm. I tell ya I am so thankful to God that I had one of my brothers there.
