Work

posted 16th Feb
OK so I am not getting something at work, and when I was in training they said well you can reachout and ask for help. Well I write scripts up, take the doctors scripts and translate it to lamens terms for a patients, fix the quantity and day supply's for them and write out directions, then bill accordingly. My exact job is to get the script processed for the lowest cost for the patient and my company. Well I have been struggling with diabetic products. For some reason the way they come in is different from the way they are in our system at work, and I get confused fast. Well I Have been asking my training assistants for help, and they are pretty much telling me to figure it out on my own. I am new and I am wondering if I should bring this up to my manager?? I don't want to cause problems, but I really need the help and the job. What should I do, TIA!

diabetes medicine (and I'm assuming you mean insulin), is life and death. My father is a type 1 diabetic and one wrong dose could mean him going into a diabetic coma. I would definately go and see my manager.

I never process them, the insulin believe it or not is easy, its more the lancets, the pens, gauge sizes. The way the doctor writes them and the way they are in the system is super weird. I send them off for clarification, I never put them through, but that counts against my speed and accuracy. I can't lose my job and it sucks. I am going to talk with him monday

If you don't know what you're supposed to be doing, then you really need to talk to your manager. You don't know want to screw up someone's prescription.
