WHat does a blood test show

Would it show Calcium, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, zinc, Iron and copper levels? How wold I go about asking one?

there are literally THOUSANDS of blood tests. It depends on the test. But no.. a standard blood draw wouldn't be for those unless they were specificallyc hecking. Vit D test is expensive. Not sure if they can check vit C in blood.. I've never heard of it. Calcium definitely common... but that's from me working CCU.. not sure about a regular clinic appt.

why?

most blood tests are very expensive and unless your doc specificly requires it most insurances won't pay for it. And it gets even more complicated with genetic testing, because there is no garantee they will or wont find what they are looking for so insurances usually reject those as well..however not all.

They would have to draw about 4 or 5 tubes, Iron being the most common. It would more than likely be an out of pocket expense.
