..where you just don't believe in love? Or that it's just simply not worth it, for whatever reason?

If yes, how have you dealt with it?

Nope. I have kids I know love exists. I have a family who is there no matter what. Friends who would do anything for me. It's love.

Romantic-type love? Yeah.
But i also think it takes a lot more than just "love" for a partnership to work,
so i dealt with it by knowing that's what i believe and going from there.

I mean love in the romance department, have you ever just felt like the minute you start growing feelings for someone you only get hurt and end up building up barriers all over again? kwim?

In the romance dept, ALL of the time. I am pretty sure I will be single for the rest of my life & I am ok with that. I have never been in any good relationships so idk what I am really missing kwim?

I don't think so... maybe when I was a teen and just broke up with a boyfriend or something.

Can't say I've ever thought that. And I never will, of that I'm sure.

It definitely exists, and sometimes it's utter agony and sometimes it tears you apart, but it's also wonderful and it's inspiring and it's absolutely worth it. The "flame" won't always be at its brightest, and the sweet looks your lover gives you - gazes speaking louder than words ever could - won't be an every day occurrence; routine does take over at times, like with most aspects of life, but love is SO much more than love letters or a romantic picnic for two... and SO much better.
