Well if it direct deposits to his account the where's my refund site will tell you what day as soon as they know. I wouldn't stress it too much. We needed ours for bills too. My license was even suspended because I couldn't afford to pay a stupid speeding ticket. Luckily it came fast and not only did we take care of that but I officially own my car YAY lol. Now paying our bills will seem so much easier with that off our shoulders. I hope the IRS tells you something soon, it's a terrible feeling to feel like your money is in limbo. And worse to know to there's absolutely nothing you can do but twiddle your thumbs and wait...

but yes, its a horrible feeling, i have so much i need to pay. my car insurance is about to be canceled, and if that happens, the car lot im getting it from is gonna come repo my car =/

Ah yes. Thank you for reminding me to get insurance today haha. You couldn't go to a check cashing place to at least cover your insurance? I know it sucks but it's better than a repo!

He would but there's like no one to report him to... its his restaurant it's not a chain... but he has considered sending an unsigned note to his wife informing her of what's going on (although I am 100% sure she knows cuz she gives ALL the waitresses HELL every time she comes in... plus she's crazy sweet to all the guys that work there and the really old lady who works in the kitchen... and for that matter pretty much anyone in the world who isn't screwing her husband)

Did you have any education credits? cuz DH and I did and they said they weren't going to start taking those til this week (at the time they said next week but since it's been a week that means this week)... so that could cause a bit of a delay

Knowing him he's prolly not even registered... but I'll mention that to DH... 2 of our friends are waitresses there... I overheard the one who worked their first telling the friend who started there about 6 months ago that all she had to do was blow or screw the owner and she'd get the job...

So ladies, weird thing... I get on the IRS site late friday night, and it says something along the lines of.. I will mailed out a letter within 30 days and may receive half or part of my refund once i receive the letter and the matter is taken care of.. i panic. im calling up everyone i know like WTH does this mean, everyone is telling me thats not good and something went wrong and yada yada... THEN. I go with my aunt down to the guy that does our taxes. and i ask him about it.. he says.. The site is soo messed up. theres people who did theirs before mine and still havent gotten it. the IRS is WAYYY behind, and lots of people are getting that kind of response/error when they get on the website to check, THEN, i came home and thought for the heck of it tonight i would check again, even though i just did today. and now i get back on and it says, its being processed..... WTH!!!??? WTF IRS is going on, id love to know?!? lol so confuseing

How long did it take you to get your check in the mail? Mines says it was mailed the 15 of this month. Im hoping only a couple days :/

They mailed my uncels last tuesday and he got it that friday. I direct deposited.

I'm still waiting. Mine were accepted on Jan 26th.

However, I'm also claiming school expenses which is delaying them.

I got mine 1 week after filing. However, I know if you claim certain thing i.e. school it take longer. As far as them sending a letter you could have an unpaid debt they are taking it for.
