Would you be annoyed?

A girl I gave a bunch of baby clothes to is now selling them on a local moms facebook group.... When I gave them to her I told her lots of the stuff was given to me and I would love it if she could pay it forward. I would feel so weird and uncomfortable selling things that were given to me.... Sorry this is more of a vent, I kind of want to say something to her.

No, maybe she needs the money.

Maybe she needs the extra money. I mean technically they're her stuff now so ou have no say on what she does with them

IMO, once you give someone something-- it's theirs. It's not your right to control what they do with it. And if that's your intention, don't give people things in the first place.

Can you be annoyed? Sure. Should you say something? No.

Once you give something to someone its theirs to with as they please. While I can see the annoyance there could be reasons she choose to sell instead of give.

This almost reminds me of a Judge Judy episode I saw once. This lady gives away a bird of some kind and wants to visit it to whoever takes it. She then doesn't like the way it's been fed, handled, or whatever the case may be and demands it back.. lol. You already gave them away, there's nothing you can do about it. Just move on.

You gave it to her to "help" her out. I am guessing she is selling this because she needs a little extra help right now. I think we have all had times in our life when we could use a little help. You did that for her! You helped her in a way you could. Now she is doing what see needs to do. She probably would love to "pay it forward" but just can't

Try not to get to annoyed with her.

That's why I don't accept money from people. I'm afraid that the next time they see me with a Starbucks in my hand they'd judge the crap out of me. Don't give someone something out of control, or else it's not a gift!

I get that and I'm definitely not trying to control what she does with them.I just know of girls that we both know that could use them. But you ladies are right they're hers now theres nothing I can do. I just find it very tacky and needed to vent.

The clothes do not belong to you anymore, I wouldn't say anything.

I don't mind loaning people money, and I see them with Starbucks or whatever. What I can't stand is when people are like ill pay you back on this date but then that date comes and I get I don't have the money, and then I see them with Starbucks if you don't have all of it, give me what you have and can. Don't just Ho me out like that. Ya know
