I've like to try later on in a couple of yrs to have a boy,,,I have a baby girl who will be a year old tomorrow and pregnant with another girl. Are any methods helpful in conceiving a boy???My mom used billings method to conceive my brother now 17 and we are 2 girls first, him, and then another girl. Could the method really work??

I don't really believe in that stuff but after 3 boys I am willing to do anything to have a girl. Now I just need to convince my DH to have another baby......lol.

My husband is the only boy of 3 other 3 siblings,,however his mom had a first baby die at 2 yrs old and it was a girl, then she said dr. had told her since baby numb. one had chromosomal abnormalities due to her having worked doing xrays right before getting pregnant that her 4th baby would be miscarried. Sure enough she said she miscarried her 4th and only found out until my husband the 6th child was born that the miscarried baby had also been a boy...(her husband told her she never found out until then)...so I guess My point is that girls run more in his family,,as they do in mine...but we will try anything to get a boy as a third baby when we ttc couple of years from now.

We actuly studied the statistics on this when I was in college about 2 years ago and it was proven that the Shettles method worked. We tried it and it worked for us. But you know it is 50'50 that you will get what you want. However based of the research I read while in school it was (studying statistics) the stats were overwhelming that when done accurately the method worked very well. The only downfall with the method was people not using the method correctly.
