My husband and I are both military. They are required to provide each soldier with housing. Single u live in the barracks or on the ship depending on the branch and married u get a housing allowance each month plus more for each child.
As for the wedding it was a beach front house we rented so we just stepped out the back door right onto the sand for the ceremony then kicked everyone out for the honeymoon lol. The house cost more than the reception and ceremony put together lol.

Wouldn't someone in the military know that each child does not get you more money for BAH? It's the same rate for members with dependents whether they only have a spouse or they have a spouse and 6 kids.

My husband and I were the same rank when we got married he got bah with dependent and I got bah without. The only reason ours wasn't the same was because he has a kid and I don't. We both collected bah for 3 years like that. Finance said if he didn't have a kid he would have gotten full bah without and I would have.gotten partial
So either someone is telling u wrong or your being screwed out of some money.

That's because you were dual. Things are done a little different for that. In a one service member family, you just get the with dependent rate for BAH regardless of how many youngins you pop out. The only thing I can think of at the moment that is impacted by the actual number of dependents is COLA.

maybe things are different now idk. but finance gives you $50-$100 more for each kid where im at. even single military families. a friend of mine went into the military a month after i did. another 3 months after i did. one had 1 child the other had 3. the difference between their LES was $150 and it specifically stated the price for each dependent. finance told them both their information was correct. i know the specifics cuz my chain of command was concerned about it to. i was the squad leader at the time so i was the one to escort them to the finance office.
point is this is just one scenario. there are many different factors involved in how much a soldier gets paid and no two soldiers will get paid exactly the same unless your still and IET soldier. and even then most LES's are different

A few days ago.I mentioned I got married in courthouse but planning my ring exchange ceremony. Well I already had my bridesmaids picked out. What I am doing is have them find there own dresses just make sure it goes with my color theme. Well one of them showed me today and its beyond to short. To revealing and everything. How should I tell her either get a new dress or not in the ceremony???

Just explain to her that you'd like your ceremony to be more conservative and that the dress is too short.

Yeah! I am going to see everyone's dress tomorrow cause now I am scared they all got a tacky dress. The one I wanted is to much money so told them pick.out a nice dress that either goes past the knees. And another question...need some help.....I have 4 kids (2 are step) the boys are ringer bearers and got my flower girl. What should my newborn son be?? He will be about 7 months old at the time

I would just have a relative hold him during the ceremony. He won't be walking, so he can't walk down the aisle with you or anything.

Thats sounds like a good idea!! If I have anymore questions I'll ask. My mom is not much help cause after the ceremony that week we are packing up and moving to Michigan.

We didnt get married in a courthouse but by a justice of the peace in a hall. We would have done the big church wedding but because i am divorced we couldnt do that...unless of course i was willing to pay $6000 and wait three years for an annulment. Lovely catholic church...
