I completely disagree. I got married at a courthouse and by no means is it because I'm poor. It's because I felt that it was stupid to spend thousands of dollars on ONE day that will last for about 4 hours! That's dumb IMO! Regardless of where and how you get married, that's not what it's about. It's about making that vow to be with someone forever, and it was still special to us without all of the debt! So eff off!
