What style house is this?

posted 15th Feb
I never know what people mean when they describe houses as Victorian style, Colonial style, craftsman, etc.

But I really like houses that are built this way (mainly the fancy porch). So what is it called?

Maybe google Victorian style house, Colonial, etc. and compare this to the search result?

It's Victorian (sometimes called "Painted Ladies" because they originally had bright coloured siding, windows and woodwork)

I don't know, when I google image search Victorian I get a lot of super big, very fancy looking results lol

I mean this house has really clean, straight lines in the design. The Victorian houses seem to be more extravagant

It may be Victorian but maybe with a more modern twist

There are different classes of houses, this house could be more of a merchant class vs. an upper class Victorian family's home.

I'd say craftsman with victorian influence.
