I drank some wine my boyfriends friend makes and my heart rate is faster I am shaky. Upset stomach and I just ate. And my eyes are blurry and itchy... what is going ob

 

Sounds like an allergic reaction to something in the wine.

Maybe an allergy?

Allergic reaction! Take some Benedryl or Claritin

Eek. Did anyone else have any? Are they experiencing the same symptoms? Have you had that particular wine before?

I hope he didnt lace it with anything or screw up the process in making it.   If the symptoms dont go away within an hour, I'd be heading to the Urgent Care clinic.

No one else has had any. I didn't drink a lot. My heart is slowing down now but im shaky.

Have you taken anything else at all this evening??

One time I took too much Ibuprofen because I was sick and drank some mead and I swore that I was going to die. The combination of the pills and liquor thinned my blood like crazy and my heart rate was through the roof.

I was young and stupid.

Are you allergic to shellfish? Many home made wine kits contain a powdered shellfish in the mix. Found that out the hard way

  I didnt know that. My uncle is HIGHLY allergic to shellfish. That would be lethal for him if he made that mistake.

Yep, most of the store bought kits have some amount of shellfish in the powder. I got a reaction after drinking a friends homemade wine and did a little research. Makes NO sense to me! lol
