HELP! what's wrong with her.

So my daughter is almost six weeks old and this past week we have been having problems with her at night. Usually people are like 'babies all cry at night' but this is a lot worse then she has ever been. When she was first born she was getting up every 3-4 hours wanting a bottle and then would go back to sleep but now she won't sleep AT ALL. During the day she is fine but at night she is up a good constant 5 hours (sometimes more) just screaming! We have tried feeding, burping, rocking, letting her cry, putting on soothing music and the only thing that kept her content for 20 minutes was a warm bath.
I was thinking it might be colic but I am not sure....maybe its bad gas or her formula needs to be changed? I am just not sure. Please help!

Sounds like gas or colic

Could very well be colic or even reflux. Also, letting her cry, for more than a few minutes, at that age is not a good idea. She cries because she needs something. If you just let her cry and you don't meet her needs, she will learn that she can't trust you.
Or at least......That is what I learned in infant psychology.

I tried Gripe Water and it does nothing. Is there anything else that can help with it?

Sounds like my daughter when she was 5 wks old. Her dr didn't believe us that something was really wrong. He told us it was probably formula, so he changed it. We had to take her in numerous times before they tested her for acid reflux.. amd we were right! It was acid reflux. We were both exhausted, I wasnt sleeping, she wasnt sleeping, and my husband wasn't. Now, when we call her dr and tell him something is wrong with her.. he squeezes her in and doesnt ask questions. We have never been wrong yet. Parents sense wgen something is wrong with their babies. Don't question if you think something isnt right. Call her dr.

Thanks everyone!
I may have found out what is wrong. I did some research and cow's milk protein sensitivity popped up and I remember my son was on a sensitive formula when he was younger because of being fussy like she was. Had a can of Similac Sensitive that was given to me and tried it and she has calmed down almost instantly!
Just hoping that it's the problem and its fixed!
