You know what is annoying?

Cheap people!!
Part 1:
Where I live we have garage sale sites on facebook where ppl just post their crap with a price tag. Well I had newborn clothes on there 13 pieces one coverall set, blue jeans were in on it and the rest were just shirts. I had it all marked for $10.00. I had one girl ask me about 5 times if i'd take $8.00. Really you can't smurf out 2 more bucks?? Not to mention I had 3 people tell me they were going to purchase it then backed out 2+ days AFTER they were to come get it! It's a great place for ppl who have commitment issues and are fn broke bc they can tell you they want it, but can't pay for it until they show up to get it. Which 90% of the time DOESN'T actually happen.
Part 2: Photography
I had a lady contact me about doing a grow with me package for her recently born twins. My package starts from maternity all the way up to a year. Hitting the mile stones of birth, 3m,6m,9m, 12m, and a cake smashing. That is $300.00 total. Each mile stone has a set of prints of different sizes with it. I also offer it for $150 from 3m on.
So I told her, for her twins I'd take $250.00. I cut $50.00 bc who wouldn't love the opportunity to work with twins? Plus they were a boy and a girl so bonus. And apparently that was still to much money. Are you flipping kidding me? It's bad enough to get the shots when one child is upset and not having a photogenic day it's a million times worse when you have 2!! Not to mention I don't really want to have to reschedule unless it is like 150% necessary to get the shots they parents and I want! She can take her cheap business elsewhere, to someone who doesn't have experience working with small children and who is cheaper. Or she can just take them herself. No smurf off my shoe!

It's one thing to be smart with your money....but yeah....cheapness is annoying!
I think your photography prices sound VERY fair.

I'm on a garage sale site, too. So many people screw people over. Some even sell broken items. I've sold a lot of things on there and made a lot of money. But yes....You'll get people that will talk you down a smurfin' dollar, it's ridiculous!!
If I am selling something that is much cheaper than what you'd give at the store or any other place, I don't go down.

I could see how the garage sell would be annoying
but the photography I would just let it go, its not like you already starting taking pictures for her, thats what people do they will look into things and then most likely back out especially new mothers and pregnant women and even though your prices where fair maybe all at once or just in general its not where she would place her money right now and she just didnt know how to tell you. I hope you get to photograph twins in the future! that does sound like a really fun opportunity, if it was me I would just offer to her newborn session for free and maybe that will make her wanna come back for other sessions.

I hear you on the garage sale smurf, we have them around here too
I had an infant holiday dress up for 15 bucks ( originally 50) and my DD wore it ONCE for like 2 hours.
This lady agreed to buy it and met up with me
and when she came she said OH well I only have 5 on me.
So I said smurf you and got back in my car and sold it to someone else.

People always negotiate at garage sales. Its the unspoken rule. If you never ask, you wont receive, right? However, if you agree on a price, its pretty smurfy to try to con someone like what happened to Inkmama.
The photography prices sound reasonable to me since its over time and includes prints but maybe she just cant afford that price.

Only 250 for a twin grow with me session? Thats a great price! An ex friend of mine was going to charge me 800 for a grow with me package!

Plus I only require a 50% deposit upfront, the rest can be paid over time. I think my prices are vary fair for a grow with me considering what some of the other places I've seen charge. My friend said her in-laws bought a package for their daughter's son they spent like $2,000! plus drove almost 2 hours one way every time they had a shoot! < that my friends is fn stupid!
