Annoyed but I know I shouldn't be....

posted 15th Feb
My husband is out with my cousin right now. He's not drunk, there are no trust issues in our relationship so its not about that Kind of stuff, I'm just annoyed. He went out to meet him and watch the bruins game and was planning on being home by 11. Now he calls and says he's going to stay out for the night and sleep at my cousin's house. He'll be home early in the morning because my cousin asked him to stay out for a while and then stay over and play video games. (two grown men with engineering degrees and 401ks staying up all night playing video games lol)
My cousin is currently going through a divorce from his wife of 2 1/2 years. I get that he wants to be there for him and all that, they get along great and have a lot in common, so im glad that he able to offer my cousin some companionship. I'm just annoyed with the whole thing because I don't feel good and I want him to come home. the kids are laying in my bed, NOT FALLING ASLEEP, and I am currently 28weeks 3days pregnant and feeling like hell. I just want him home, I don't want to be worried about him drinking out in the city and I would like his help here in the morning.
My dd, 2, is being a peace of work. Whining and won't go to sleep and asking to nurse but then she just wants to hug my boob. What is that? Lol. I'm just tired and uncomfortable and not feeling good and would like my husband home.
Whining and bitching session over.

Aww.   I'd probably be annoyed too. And then feel bad because the cousin probably needs the boy time. And then I'd be annoyed again. Understand completely! I'd probably "convince" my hubby to come home at some point, even if it's 2am, so at least he'd be there to help in the morning.

OMG I feel like i'm reading my life story. I'm 32 weeks pregnant with my 3rd and my husband went to the red wings game last night with some friends for a bachelor party and then they were going to one of the downtown casinos. He did get home (at 4am) and is still sleeping but i of course had no help last night and didnt get any help when they woke up this morning. They're ok lol but usually i rely on him to take care of them on the weekends so i get a break. So anyway hun, hang in there. Its just one of those (many) times when he wont be there to meet your needs when you REALLY need him. So hey...by now he should be home right? lol, how did it go with him, did he get a lecture?

Not home yet, on his way. Slept in Boston which is about 40 minutes from here and had to wake my cousin up to drive him to his car in public parking. He won't get a lecture, he called to let me know and said "if you want me home I'll come home but (insert cousin's name here) could really use the company right now". So I told him it was ok and I'd see him in the morning. I'm not happy about it, but I did give the go ahead. He just better not plan on napping when he gets here and he Bette show up with coffee. Lol

LOL, coffee for you or coffee for him? Hey good for you, just be a little tough with him today and he'll know that even though you said it was ok, that you're still not totally happy. Usually thats what I do and he keeps on good behavior for a few days. Hey how old are your other kids?

Coffee for me!! Lol I've been cutting back this whole pregnancy but I need it this morning. My beasts are 6 and 2. The 2-year-old has a cold right now and she's still nursing so she was up to nurse a lot last night. I'm exhausted.

yeah i totally understand hun. Just take a nap when he gets home. Hand him the kids and say "here you go". Hopefully he'll cooperate, and lucky for you if he does. My husband has to work, so even when he does wake up I'm not gonna get that much help.

I'm sure he'll help but I won't be napping. I have a ton of housework to do. Like 6 days worth of laundry.
I'll try to nap when the kids have quiet time later.

You sound just like me, I feel like you're living my life, we should hang out LOL. Every time I tell him how much laundry i have to do he always says 'then do laundry more often so it doesnt pile up'. How does that help things?Laund ry is still laundry. So....the big question, did he bring coffee???
