2nd trimester spotting?

Is it normal? I had a bright red spot of blood when I wiped earlier, seems to be nothing now. No cramping, but I had a sharp pain right around the time I got the spot, but no more after. Felt the baby moving earlier.

I'll be 18 weeks tomorrow, last time I had sex was the 13th, if that makes a difference. Dunno if it would cause spotting this much later.

No it's not normal, did you ever have any spotting before. if I was you i'd get ti checked.

I did at 7 weeks (pinkish). They did an u/s at my first appointment and checked out my ovaries and said everything was fine.

I bled off and on with my daughter all the way through. If bub is still moving seems everything is ok. If you are I negative blood group you will need to get an anti d shot

I just started feeling stronger movement the last few days, so it isn't really regular yet. It would definitely help. :/

So.... do I call them and wait for them to call back or just go to the ER? I'm not sure if there is an after hours nurse.

Personally I'd just to to the ER better safe then sorry, I mean it could be nothing but then there could be a underlying problem.

I'd try your ob office. They might have the number than on call ob who might be able to tell you more. Sometimes the er can't tell you as much...

I had constant spotting issues my whole first trimester. My cervix is easily irritated. Any heavy lifting or when I over exert in any way causes spotting for me...

I am sorry if I am worrying you plaes don't stress to much, I mean the fact you are feel your baby move is positive. Just get everything checked

Hey, ladies. Just wanted to update. I went to the ER and they sent me straight upstairs to triage. Baby is fine. Heart rate was 163 bpm, cervix is closed, no more bleeding, and they monitored me for contractions for 30 minutes before sending me home.

I'm 20 weeks and have spotted twice this trimester! No pain associated with it and it wasn't just one day..it was at least 2-4 days and i had to wear a pad or panty liner. I went to my doctor both times and we did lots of test and sonograms and have no explanation except he said it's probably just my cervix bleeding because theres nothing going on and my daughter is growing and completely perfect! And I haven't even had sex since I was about 7 weeks was the last time. It worries me to hell and back every time it's happened so far but my OB insists that everything is ok and fine and everything is normal. You need to speak with your OB tho so they can get a U/S and make sure your baby is okay and plus make sure your placenta is where it's supposed to be and doing what it's supposed to lol. He told me that problems with the placenta is what normally causes spotting in the second and third trimester which is why I got a U/S but my placenta is where it is supposed to be and the only thing he can think of is my cervix bleeding because everything else appears normal! So I hope that it's just that and he didn't miss anything but I'm extremely scared about this pregnancy more so then I was with my 1st two because it's a miracle baby,I wasn't supposed to be able to conceive so with every little detail I call in and see my OB just to take precautions. My OB ALWAYS SAYS "In pregnancy,there is NEVER such thing as being too careful or too cautious!" If you doubt it,get it checked!

Sorry   Just saw the update,now I feel dumb about the book I just posted lol. But thats great news! It's so stressful when something like that happens.I wanna get a fetal doppler so bad because I think it'll ease my mind just to heard my daughters heartbeat at least once a day lol
