Maternity/Postnatal body suit

posted 15th Feb
Any suggestions? I am looking at the brand "Vedette" on Amazon. My friend swears by it. She used it through her whole pregnancy and post partum. She doesn't even look like she has had two kids, which is the main reason why I want to use it. I am using pilates to help as well, but this seems to be a good idea as well. Anyone used these? Good experiences? Bad? Worth the money?

I bought this after having a c-section in 2010. My tummy was flat and I don't have the c-section pooch.

I unfortunately had one from my last pregnancy that resulted in a csection. Do you think it can help at this point? Also, I am looking for something to wear during pregnancy for support. Not the belly band, but a body suit. My friend wore it and said that it made it so her tummy didn't get huge and stretch crazy. My tummy gets HUGE!

I think its coincidence for your friend. Depending on your core strength prior to pregnancy, a strong core holds you in like a corset where a weak core wont as well. There are safe abdominal exercises I can link you if ya like.

I would like those links! I just bought two body shapers specifically for pregnancy. I wanted to try them both. I will return them if I am not satisfied! I am hoping the pilates throughout pregnancy will help!

Heres a good one. There are many more suggested videos that are other pregnancy core/body workouts.

I had a c section back in 08 and I started wearing a corset type girdle thing I bought from Walmart it was maybe 10 dollars. My stomach was completely flat after a couple months of wearing it plus I never got a c section pooch either. It was kind of uncomfortable though cause it snapped in the crotch and I didn't like that, so I am debating on buying just a wrap like the link above

I didn't wear it while pregnant of course. But my belly didn't get really big either so I'm not sure if it helped my stomach or not but I like to think so haha
