Homemade facial scrub

My face is flaky and super dry, and lotion doesnt get rid of the scales. I have no money to buy a scrub, so i was wondering, can you make one yourself? I use a sugar and olive oil one for my lips, but that would clog my pores right? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I love brown sugar and honey/olive oil. That is one of my favorite scrubs.

...sugar dissolves lol

they have a body scrub recipe online using coffee grinds and other stuff. you'll have to google it though because I'm drawing blanks :/
