Hope you ladies got treated!

Just hoping everyone had a lovely Valentine's Day!

DH was extra amazing, as always. Did our gift exchange- he gave me jewelry, flowers, fudge and my favorite Sees candies, I gve him some new sex toys for us to use. We lunched out at our fav restaurant in Anchorage, and then spent the rest of the day as a family. Gave our kids assorted chocolates, I made them special hearts shaped brownies, and DH cooked meatloaf, mashe potatoes and corn for dinner. We did family movie night until 10, and then...
Got to try out DHs new gifts from me.

Best part of the day, besides sexy time, was spending most the day together as a family. I love half days!

Ps- happy 3-4 day weekend depending on what your kids all have off from school!

Aww.we went out to dinner at this restaurant in the casino.had some good prime rib and crab legs.no gifts this year.it was my choice since dinner was an outrageous price but it did not come from my pocket lol

Got my engagement ring and wedding band   Pretty happy with that

Lol, we've been planning it for a couple of months now, but I didn't have a ring yet. He proposed one other time when I was preggo with DS, it was AWFUL. Like, THE worst proposal EVER in history. He went to the bathroom to take a crap, then a minute later he starts yelling(angrily) "Babe, get me some toilet paper!!" so I go in and the ring is sitting on the bathroom counter, and the room is filled with the scent of poo.   I was so upset he did it like that. Well between then and now we fell on hard times and had to sell it at a pawn shop. So I told him next time it has to be a real 'get down on one knee with a box' type of proposal. So the night before V-Day he comes home and gets down on one knee and asked me   A hundred times more romantic than the first, lol. But it wasn't a total shock, we already decided we would be getting married next week, so I figured that was coming. I love my ring though, and it came with a matching wedding band, so that's neat. Now I'm just ready for next week to get married and go on our honeymoon!!

Got nothing as always. Hhad a SUPER busy day at work & made good money- for once... SO worked 2pm-6am, I got the kids after work but stopped and got them little heart boxes of chocoloate (for a $1) and little water-color painting book with paint set, they loved it. No card... nothing from SO, BUT today, i woke up to yummy donuts he brought home as a be-lated Valentines' day gift.

my husband and i have had a rough time financially until recently but we are still very careful. i knew in advance we'd be lucky to get to go out to dinner. well he delievers pizza and made some great tips on valentines day... so when he got home (to his dads bc he works an hour and a half away if he works til 2 am one day and then has to be back in at 8 he just crashes at his dads) he ordered me flowers. my cousin came to visit and they were outside (i was in shower when delievery guy came) i was toatally shocked!!!! then we went to an "expensive" resteraunt instead of just applebees. it worked out great because our friend who usualy works friday nights happened to be off so we didnt have to take the baby with us. it was a wonderful day.

Why does he work so far away? How terrible to hav to be paying such high transportation costs!

we moved up here because he got a "better job" and bought a trailor. then after the baby was born he lost that job. he called his former boss (we both worked at the same place) and the boss offered him full time and a management position when he went back. we had to make a fast decision and he cant find work that pays as much up here. it costs him 20$ a day in gas (that includes the gas he uses when he ends up delievering pizza). he averages about 12$ an hour and theyre just isnt that kind of good full time work.

we thought about moving back, but if we did we would end up doubling our bills because the cost of living where we used to live is so much higher. right now we have monthly bills (since our trailor is paid for) that are around 700$ (lot rent, utilities, insurance) if we moved we would have to pay about 600$ in rent alone for a two bedroom really crappy apartment on top of utilities and insurance.

and it was awesome. last year we didnt do anything. we were living in public housing and eating food bank food and he was working that job we moved for and his wages were almost cut in half . very stressful third trimester for me.
