re: C-sections, formula feeding, and... autism?

You know they had the same response when a Dr was able to prove a specific bacteria caused most ulcers? They wouldn't listen, at all. NOW they know it is true & treat it with antibiotics most of the time. We also now know most childhood dental caries are caused by a bacteria called S. Mutans...and it loves sugar. So sugar itself does not damage your teeth, unless of course S. Mutans has colonized your mouth & they go wild on a sugar high & have a population explosion. Who knows what causes autism, but until we know for sure, I hope they investigate every potential possibility.

The 2 families I babysit for that breastfed (long term, they have toddlers-a 2 1/2 year old and a 20 month old- still nursing), had all natural home water births, and each have a son with autism tells me that more research into their theory. Now the two families are related so I do think down the line they may find a link in families that makes people predisposed to autism
