No, I see what you're saying. I think this is a fairly new study so we will probably hear more in the coming years... they will fine tune it.

I don't really think its relevant. I think the point is that c sections may be linked to these things, I doubt the motive for having one influences anything. A c section is a c section.

Although, like I said previously this all seems to be very speculative still and it's important to remember that although they may have found a correlation between a and b, correlation does not equal causation. They are jur trying to peak interest in the possibility because interest equals funding for further research and more research/information is never a bad thing.

That's how I feel too!

Very true. I think these are interesting finds and I'm eager to learn more. I never thought of correlating c-sections with... anything, really.

I don't think they're tossing out anything with this, it's just some new findings.

they want something to blame autism on ( and anything else, that is caused by no one knows what). I know a few kids with autism. One was a c-section, never vaccinated. One was a home birth, non vacs and my friends son has asburgers ( sp?) and was a hospital vag birth and I has had vacs.

Well, it's not just autism. It's also cancer, obesity... and did they say diabetes too? All because of the bacteria in their guts.

I can see it being linked to dietary issues like type 2 diabetes, etc., but like everyone else said, there's a ways to go before they can link it to anything like mental disorders like autism. It almost sounds like they linked it to autism just so that it would get more notice.

Want your medical article to be read? ..Link it to cancer or autism or both.
