I woke up in the morning, stood up to go to the bathroom and felt a gush. I didn't have any signs except I had had large amounts of mucous coming out for about a week so I felt like labor was near.

Nope. Mine actually didn't break until after I was finally set up in L&D and it happened 15 minutes before he came out. I had a contraction, puked and my water broke all at the same time and within like 2 minutes they had me start pushing. It happened naturally though, but it was in the hospital.

They broke mine in the hospital with both of my boys.

My cousin's broke in the hospital, too.

1st baby- Doctor broke it in hospital

2nd baby- I woke up, sat down with my son on the couch and as I stood up to go make him breakfast there was a huge gush. No warning.

3rd baby- I was at work when it happened. I had just came in to work and bent down to pick up one of the kids and as I bent down there was a huge gush- yet again. Right in front of the parents dropping off their kids. I ran to the bathroom and my boss found me a tablecloth to wrap up in. I was mortified. No warning!

I was asleep. I felt a pop, and a gush. I bolted to the bathroom and managed not to get any on the bed (I was wearing super thick flannel pjs - thank god!)

I was already in labor. My body was pushing slightly on its own and then it EXPLODED.

I was having bad diarrhea and was cramping up pretty bad from it. No contractions really though. Then I went pee and stood up. My water broke. At first I thought I had peed myself! Haha. Then the contractions started up FAST.

I was in the hospital the first time, I had been on pitocin for about 12 hours. It was a loud pop that my mother and nurse heard across the room, and then a huge gush of fluid followed immediately with contractions. With my M/C It was also a loud pop and gush, but not near as much, also followed by contractions.

Son #1, they broke my water in the hospital
Son #2, broke on it's own in the hospital after going into labor naturally.
Son #3, my water broke on it's own at home. No warning, no signs

No one has any good "I was out shopping at (store) and my water broke at the check out" stories?!

I'm so scared that's going to happen to me.
With DD, my OB broke mine right when my pit was started.

With my first I was at work in the morning and it broke all of a sudden. With my second I was asleep in bed and woke to it breaking.

No signs at all...I was just laying on the bed and I felt like a tiny bit of pee came out..I stood up and a lot came out then I went to the toilet and it just all came out uncontrollably.

I was asleep.
