I'll share my somewhat funny story if that is what you are looking for. LOL!

With #2 I was admitted to the hospital around 7pm. I got there at 5:30 after laboring at home. By the time I got to the L&D I was 6cm. My family and husband's family all showed up. Figuring it would be soon. Well we were wrong. I labored until 10:30 and got to 7cm so we decided to send everyone home and get some rest. At about 3am I had to pee really bad! I kept whispering loudly to husband trying to wake him up to help me get all unhooked to I could get to the bathroom. I even went as far as to try yelling at him. But I didn't want to wake any other mommas up so I didn't get too loud. Well he never woke up. So I finally manage to get myself un hooked and swing my legs over the side of the bed. As soon as I got up I felt warm fluid running down my leg. I throw my pillow at sleeping husband and tell him I just pee'd on myself. But as I walk to 10 steps to the bathroom I have a river following me. I then realize my water had broke and call the nurse from the bathroom. Only then did husband really wake up when the nurse turned the light on. I get cleaned up and get back in bed and the first thing out of my mouth was "Way to be there for me". LOL!

Way to go, hubby! My husband would probably be the same way. Not waking up at alluntil the light is on.

With my first it had been leaking for awhile (atleast 3 weeks) and no one knew. They told me I was peeing on myself.

With my second they broke it during my c-section.

With my third I woke up and got out of bed an felt a little come out. Thought it was pee, it was less than a teaspoon. I went to Walmart and it done it about 5 more times. (And dumb me forgot a panty liner). So I kept pulling my jacket over my pants where it was went. Got home and called my ob. Got there and kept feeling more. So she checked me and done a slid to test it. As soon as she walked out the door I felt a huge gush and told DH to get her back in there. She walked in and lifted the sheet and the bed and floor was a huge puddle.

Doesn't it ruin your mattress?! I'm so worried about mine breaking on my bed, even with a mattress protector. I have a really nice & expensive mattress topper that I'm so scared will get ruined. I'd go without sleeping with it, but my back would be in agony.

We got a new mattress once DD was born. And with DS, I had so many pillows that it didn't even get on the mattress! Lol DH was very proud Imthere wasn't any on the mattress. Lol we tossed the pillows though

This!!! I am trying to figure out if wearing pads close to delivery would help? I don't want to be sitting on a friend's couch and wet it, or our bed, or anything like that.

It's not pee, doesn't have a color and doesn't smell. But because of the way I was laying enough didn't come out yet to soak through the blankets and sheets. My pants were soaked, they absorbed most of it.

gross, I would hate to wear a pad everyday for no reason, just on the off chance my water did break lol.

I actually still have a HUGE bag of the jumbo granny diaper/pad things the hospital gave me when I had DD. Plus the huge undies to go over them. DH keeps telling me to wear one to bed "just incase". I told him to wear one with me

Me too! I wear panty liners on a daily (for obvious pregnancy discharge reasons). But they're super thin and not noticeable like a regular pad. I couldn't handle wearing a maxi pad or anything, just waiting for my water to break so it can absorb it. Too uncomfortable.

Mine didn't break in a gush. Mine was a slow leak over 3 days. I thought I was just unusually moist down there lol. I didn't think it was my waters.

Mine broke during a very mild cramp when I sat down in my rocking chair at home. I had just gotten up to get a glass of water, and then midway to my chair I felt my son drop deep and low into the birth canal. It was quite uncomfortable. So yeah.. I sat down, felt a pop and a small gush and that was that. My little man was born 8 hours later.
