18 Worst things for left handed people.

1. Spiral Notebooks



Hurts the side of your hand. The worst are the 5-subject with the extra big rings.



2. Writing in a 3-ring binder



You have to do that thing where you fit your hand between the top two, then eventually have to pick it up and fit it in between the bottom two.




3. Only 1 gross lefty glove in gym class



The handsweat of a thousand lefties before you.





4. Only 2 pairs of the green lefty scissors in class, 3 lefty kids.



Scrambling through the scissors to find the ones with the green rubber handles, only to see they're already all gone.




5. Ballpoint pens don't work as well because you're pushing, not pulling the ball



The ink will never flow as well for lefties, so our pens stop up more.





6. Ink all over the side of your hand



nuff said.




7. Bonking elbows with a righty at the dinner table








8. iPad Kindle app - left side is back page



This is really annoying - if you prefer to hold it in your left hand, you have to move your hand all the way to the other side to tap. On a real Kindle, page forward is on both sides, thankfully.





9. Driver's cup holder is for the right hand



So you have to hold your cup with your right hand.





10. Numberpad is on the righthand side of keyboard







11. Dying sooner, so becoming a zombie sooner



Studies have shown lefties die up to 9 years sooner than righties. At least we'll get to eat their brains.





12. These desks



College lecture hall desks with postage-stamp sizes desks. You have to twist your back and hold up your arm to use.




13. Measuring cups show you the stupid metric side



The cups/ounces side is for the righties. You have to do that thing where you twist your hole arm around to be able to read ounces.




14. You, old friend








15. Made for righties



Apparently you can get modified lefty controllers, but maybe you should just go outside.





16. Cord on the credit card machine pen never long enough



Annoying. Annoying. I'm annoyed.

1, 2, 6 and 17 are probably my biggest ones lol.

Oh man. So glad I'm right handed  

I"m a left.

And my daughter is too. She's only 3 and gets pissed off because those stupid magnet doodle boards? The pen is for righties, not lefties. We were able to find 1, yes only 1 that had the pen in the center of the board.

Seriously. Being a lefty sucks. Some of those I don't realize but many of them are very much true.

I adapted, I meant. But seriously spiral note books are a pain in the ass.

Anyone else realize how we turn our papers differently to right?

Or, I recall, having to miss out on fun class stuff because they made lefties take a "special" class to teach us how to write while other kids got to have fun.

And I'm the only lefty in my family until we find out which hands my kids start using!

In 3-5 they FORCED me to write with my right hand. They said the world wasn't made for left handed people, which it's not. I can equally use and write with both hands now, but one is always more dominant than the other.

My mom apparently sat me down and forced me over and over over and over, to right "neatly and properly" so it wouldn't look like a left wrote it.

I'm kind of glad I don't remember that part at all.

I'm a lefty and we are special  

We have that exact same can opener.

I'm a lefty but as a child my parents didn't exactly work with it so I learned many things right-handed. Scissors and can openers are two I can think of.

The only ones I never had an issue with were:
The scissors. I used right handed scissors in my left hand.  
The PS3 controller. I just figured that was the way it was, so I learned to use it that way.
And the measuring cup/can opener. I just adapted to the right handed way of using them, so they didn't pose an issue for me.


One that isn't listed here is the right handed fry scoop if you work fast food! OMG that was a nightmare.

ya, you kind of have to adapt to stuff like that.

Reminds me of what happened to my uncle when he was in school. He was able to write with both hands and they told him he was weird and made him choose. He picked his left hand and has horrible handwriting now.

They tied my grandfather's hand to his desk so that he was forced to use his right hand.
