Quoting Vivian [♥]:" ya, you kind of have to adapt to stuff like that."

I think adapting is just a part of life for a lefty.

I too, can openers, measuring cups, scissors, all I use left handed and don't really bother me at all.

One I wasn't able to change was crocheting, and knitting, I crochet left handed(always made my grandma and mom frustrated because they couldn't see what I was doing), and knitting I learned right handed.

You just learn to adapt.

I believe the did this to my uncle as well. He was forced to use his right hand.

It's funny how you get used to things.

One it didn't mention it the mouse. You can move it to the other side and set it up differently (if it isn't a curved one) but most people share computers so that isn't really reasonable to do all the time. Now I can't use a mouse with my left hand. Only my write, haha

I recall a few years ago when I tried to learn to play the guitar. It did not go well, haha.

They tried doing that to me, but my mom wouldn't let them.
I do most things with my right hand, but I write and eat with my left.

& some of these are very true lol

Oh my goodness how did we forget the mouse?

In grade school the teachers would move the mouse to the other side of the computer. For some reason I thought this was completely normal(I mean it was like 1990 when computers were first really entering schools and such), we didn't get a computer until much later on in life(like I was 10 or 12 or something like that) and by then you were so used to using them with the mouse on the right hand side anyways in school!

It's funny how we're all using it now and only you thought of it.

I couldn't either, don't worry.

Or how about the flute? I played the flute, it goes to the RIGHT, I had to learn that too.

It was something I didn't notice until I got a tablet thing (with the pen, for drawing, yeah). I couldn't seem to make it work because it was this odd mixture of using a mouse and using a pen, which I do with two different hands. haha. On the plus side, I can use both a mouse and write stuff at the same time, since they use different hadns.

They do. You can also restring I guess. However, I am not musical so I gave up before trying any of that. It was annoying not to be able to just pick up any guitar and learn though.

That's me too. They gave me a left guitar for lessons and it was just like WTF? I didn't get it. And you can't just pick up any guitar, so I couldn't practice I could only use the one at lessons. Not worth it.

True. I do everything left handed except write (unless I don't feel like using my right hand) and eat, yet I feed my kids with my left hand. Yay for having broken my right arm so many times?

Lmao yes the mouse! Ya you can switch it over but they are always formed to fit in a right handed palm

I always tend to walk in the left side of a door, where people are usually exiting, because I naturally grab the door with my left hand to open it haha

And cars, ya, the ignition is always on the right. Gear shifts, the right.

Cameras, button is on the right.

I'm sure there's way more we've adapted to haha
