Vent

Today is just one of those days. I work my ass off to do all I can do to get the place tidied up. I turn around and my kids are behind me destroying any progress I made.
Normally this wouldn't bother me. Kids are kids. But tonight I have a big fundraiser dinner to go to. Have to get my hair done and the like. And we have a sitter coming over for the first time. I'm trying to get everything tidied and set out for when she's here.
It seems like on the days that stuff needs to get done, it never gets done. It doesn't help that both my kids are feeling super mischievous and troublemaker-y today. So I feel as though I'm going insane. Also, my husband is the type of person who acts as if I sit on my ass all day every day doing nothing when I stay home. (I usually work 5 days a week. This week has been different because my son has had constant diarrhea so he hasn't been allowed at daycare. I've been going back and forth to doctors and such.)

Anyway. I have about 45 minutes to get as much as done as I can while my son (hopefully) takes a nap.


Also, I'm having a "fat" day. lol.

I can totally relate...this sounds like my morning. Except my kids managed to trash my house in 2 hours before my MIL came to pick them up. I don't know how they do it.

Thank You! My youngest fell asleep and my oldest (who is responsible for much of the mess in her room and the play room) keeps asking me if she's "free" I told her she can be free when she cleans up the mess SHE made. She's not thrilled with me right now. Hahaha. Also I got a cardboard cut. Lol.

That's totally fair...I cleaned up my kids' mess since Grandma was taking them...I was really, really thankful for that this morning. Ouch @ the cardboard cut.

My kids were absolute mess monsters today. It started off with the boys waking me and the newborn up at 6, yelling something about a mutant something invasion. In a course of two hours, I dealt with duct taped toilet paper on my lamp, Play dough in the carpet, a mini peanut butter assassin, meaning one 5 year old putting peanut butter in my other 5 year old's hair; an entire container of iced tea and a whole box of Cheerios spilt on the floor, 6 shredded newspapers, a sled in my house, a shirt in the toilet, and a wet, sticky Swiffer. Not my best morning.
