normal for toddler?

posted 15th Feb
DS is 20 months old and non vaccinated. I agreed to ONE vaccine after doing research on it and feeling that it was a good fit. He got it today, and has been sleeping for THREE HOURS. Do you think that's okay? He woke up and made a little fuss about 35 minutes ago but is sleeping again. Should I go wake him?

Pretty normal. My kids are completely vaccinated and when they get vaccinations they sleep longer for about 2 days.

It's normal for kids to be sleepy after vaccines. Did the Dr's office give you the info sheet on the vaccine?

no fever and his normal naps are about an hour and a half. Sometimes two if he's really tired.

no and my dumbass really should have asked for one. She just told me to watch out for fever and rash. I didn't even think to ask for info sheet because we had just gotten done getting into the dreaded vaccine battle with one another. I agreed to this one before coming to the appointment on the off chance they had the aluminum free version- which they happened to have. So I allowed it. Now i'm regretting it of course.

its normal for the kids to sleep a lot after shots. if you read any of the info sheets it lets you know that they will sleep and there will soemtimes be a slight fever. l
