cystic acne

Like those deep, painful pimples you get but can't see on your face.how the heck do i get rid of them I've had three of them in the poorest 2weeks, they are soo annoying. Any advice i do have a skin care routine I'm hoping that's isn't what's causing it

I have this type of acne. Luckily I only get one or two at a time but those mother smurfers SUCK. I started using an exfoliant (just your basic OTC kind) and then got prescribed Benzo Peroxide (sp?) which you can now also get OTC. I use the scrub once a week and the Benzo wash once a day.. then use a sensitive skin face lotion once a day and my face has COMPLETELY cleared up.

My sister started getting them in her 30's. her dermatologist put her on blood pressure medication to help clear them up. They were bad! Painful too. Her skin just changed with her age and there was nothing she could do about it. She did the blood pressure meds and a heavy round of acne meds to switch up the chemistry. So far, they aren't back.

I only get these likea few times a yea and they are too painfu sometimes. I try not to pop them. Not until i see a head for. I've been getting them for years and not even prescription meds work.
