odd question- undescended testes

Okay. I feel weird asking this, but... I've been babysitting my friends 2 month old son. I can't help but notice that his testicles are huge, and clearly there. On to my point...

My 2 year old sons scrotum looks tight and empty. His pedi has never said anything about it. I don't think I've ever seen anything in his scrotum since he was born. It's really bothering me. How do you know if it's an undescended testicle/testes? Any signs other than not feeling anything?

normally they check for it at birth and then again at the 1 year check up. if your pedi didnt say anything about it I d assume he s fine

Do your son's testicles hang down while he's in the bath tub? If yes then he's fine   if not you can bring it up to his pedi and see what they say.

My son has both and they don't look there most of time. Feeling is really the only way to go about figuring out if he has both or not. Looking really isn't accurate, my husband looks like he has both but he doesn't... he only has 1.

No, they don't. Under his penis just looks like a piece of wrinkly skin that is pulled tight. It's always looked Like this... I tried To feel when I wiped him, but I didn't feel anything. /:

The reason I asked about the tub is because his body temp will rise causing his testicles to hang lower so they should be much easier to see.
