if you went in labour earlier with your previous pregnancies, would you assume the same thing will happen for your next one??
quoteposted 15th Feb
all pregnancies are different, so no.

No, I had my first at 35 weeks, and my second at 39.3 weeks.

I had both my children at 39 weeks. every one is assuming I ll go into labour at 38 week this time. it s starting to get on my nerves

You can never assume. If you mean "early" like preemie, then yes, your odds are greater for having another early. That of course depends on why you had them early.
So, your odds of having the baby a little earlier the 2nd time are better, but you never should assume anything will happen.
I assumed my 1st would come late. That sure didn't happen. Then I assumed my 2 would come very early, and he didn't. I think my kids may just like being difficult.

I think for me, it runs in my family. My mom had 5 kids, and we were ALL a month early, all my kids were early, my nephew was very early. The only one out of the ENTIRE lot of kids/grandkids that was even close to on time was my older sister's daughter. She was born at 39 weeks, and was an induced labor which resulted in a c-section.

No, and it's silly when some women have gone into labor at 38 weeks with their first, and they get close to that and think they are going to go into labor. And get mad when they haven't right at 38 weeks again.

no not preemie, just term baby.
I also assumed my first would arrive overdue just because he was my 1st. I assumed my 2nd would come at 40weeks or plus but he didnt either. this time I wish I ll do the full 40week just so I can piss everyone who's assuming I lk go early

I didnt assume it would happen I just kind of had the feeling that it would. Although somedays I felt that I would go 42 weeks and be huge a miserable lol.
But my first was delivered at 36+2 and my second at 36+3.
quoteposted 15th Feb
I assumed especially since babies are always born early in my family but it didn't happen.
1st baby: 6 days early
2nd baby: 5 days late
3rd baby: 1 day early(literally born an hour before my due date lol)
quoteposted 15th Feb
I thought my son would stick around till my c-section date. NOPE.
DD 37 weeks 2 days
DS 38 weeks 3 days
quoteposted 16th Feb
My first was 40 weeks 1 day when he was born, went into labor on my due date, and my second, I was induced at 39 weeks and 6 days, and he was the 10 lbs 12 oz baby.

My 1st was 36+6 and my 2nd was 37+3; this time I'm hoping to make it to 38+ but my family thinks I'll go closer to 36w.
My 1st I had a feeling he'd be early (and he even came on the date I thought!), my 2nd I figured would be early as well but didn't have a date in mind and this one no date is in mind but starting to have feelings about a particular day of the week

Yes and no. I went into preterm labor with my first child when I was only 30 weeks . They were able to stop it and carried him to term. My second pregnancy was with twins and I went into preterm labor at 31 weeks. They were also able to stop the labor with that pregnancy. I was able to carry them till 35 weeks. My last pregnancy I didn't go into preterm labor at all and had her at 39 weeks and 4 days. They never did figure out why I went into preterm labor with my first 3 children . I have been told since I have had preterm labor before I am more likely to have it again. They just check me sooner for cervical changes them most ladies. They also checked my cervix every time they did an ultrasound to confirm it was closed and thick.
