I've been seeing a lot of this. Would you be mad if you spent more on a gift than your SO? Would you say anything or be upset if they didn't get you anything a all?

Uh no lol. That's stupid. If I chose to spend a certain a amount that's my own fault.

I don't care. I spend a LOT on SO and I hardly get smurf. But oh well.

No, we usually discuss an amount before we buy something, so it's equal. But we did that this year, and my husband bought me a 200 dollar watch, and I got him a 65 dollar massage. But he loved it.

My friends SO didnt get her anything at all. He apologized for it. This would be okay with me but he buys weed all the time. That kinda irks me.

Are you talking about for Valentine's Day or just in general? I've never gotten a gift for VDay, never cared to. Not a holiday worth actually celebrating in my opinion, especially with presents. But as for money spent on gifts? The amount doesn't mean anything, and besides, we share an account and I don't actually bring in any money myself, so if I ever wanted to buy him a gift, it'd be with his own money. I don't understand feeling the need to spend a lot on someone. If you wanna give them a gift, cool. Just make it meaningful or special. Doesn't have to be a million dollars.

I have a tenancy to buy my SO or even just people I like gifts randomly if I have the extra money so that wouldn't upset me at all.

Valentine's Day but in general too I guess lol. Yeah, I spent more than my SO and I dont care about that. I personally dont like my girl but Im not going to say anything because Im not rude. It was my first real Valentines Day with someone. He got DD stuff too. That made me the happiest.

I honestly dont know. I think she wanted to get something because of her statuses lol. He said he was sorry and that he was too broke to get her anything. In my opinion youre not broke if you can spend money on weed almost everyday.

Very true. Yeh, I could definitely see being annoyed or upset with him giving an excuse of being broke, but continuing to buy weed all the time.
