Agreed. I would be busting my ass and my boyfriends until we both had real jobs. How are you possibly going to provide for a child? Are you planning on bringing your infant to a homeless shelter?

How about you come to Maine with no job experience an try to find a job.
The only job experience I have is child care so no one else will hire me.
Go check out the unemployment rate (it's higher than it has ever been)

You can only get TANF if you aren't with the father of your child. So no I can't.
20 miles. Not to far.

No he has nothing on his record. We are looking into him going to college but that won't happen till the fall.

I will have a job that pays $10+/hour when I get back to the other town. So no the child will not be in the homeless shelter

Well, instead of using the 100 you get a week, take the bus to where you want to be. It might take you a minute to get on your feet but its better then nothing

There's no way one person making 10 dollars an hour could support a child but at least it's a start.

Once we go back to the other town SO can get a job, there aren't any jobs down here where we are now. Even most of the fast food places aren't even hiring, but we turned in applications anyways.

The whole thing is ridiculous. I'm sorry I'm just going to be blunt. I live in Vegas. You should see our unemployment rate. But you can find a job if you are really making an effort. And I don't believe your families are so heartless that they would leave you on the streets Take your money buy a bus ticket and go to whatever town that is that you will have a job in and tell your boyfriend he should be looking for a couple jobs wherever that is because its expensive to care for a child. Stop wasting your time on here and get out and do something about your situation.

It costs me $30 a day just to take the bus to get to that job. That would leave me with still like $100 a week.

My DH made 9.25 an hour. We took care of ourselves and our DD while living on our own. We had another baby while he was still working that same job and still took care of everything...So its possible if you manage the money right

jesus! I can't imagine that. did you have assistance? you must be good with money! we live relatively simply and my SO makes over double that. although I admit I'm not as careful with money as I should be

I'm at work right now so I can't do anything but make calls right now and I already have thanks. And we have put in all the applications we could in our little town that has no jobs, no one around can find a job let alone a 20 year old with only child care experience and a 23 year old with no experience in anything.
So thanks for you advice
