Dark Karo Syrup ?
posted 15th Feb
My three week old seems to struggle with having bowl movements during the day. She cries out in pain when she tries to have one. However at night she has two to three back to back so she can't be considered constipated.
I asked her doctor about it and he said to mix 2 teaspoons of Dark Karo Syrup with 2 ozs of warm water. I have heard of using Karo syrup before but didn't realize you could use it with such a young infant.
Has anyone done this before? If so did it help? Also does giving her the Karo syrup replace her feeding or do I give her formula too?

I had to do this afew times, but my daughter hadn't gone in about 5 weeks...my doc said to mix it with breastmilk. Worked like a charm.
