sippys

i have a NUK sippy like this

I took the nipple off it an put it on a bottle like this would u still say she is on a sippy since i took the bottle nipple off???

also they make them like this so i was thinking it was almost the same thing.... I plan to buy a few cups like this as soon as my school gives me my money.

No. Those are just glorified bottles.

I've used the last one for DD and loved it!! Idk if I'd call it a sippy since its technically still the bottle itself..

Agreed. The whole point of the sippy is to fully ditch the bottles. Not to take the nipple from the sippy and attach it to a baby bottle.

but they make the same thing just in different colors.... Im getting the last one it is a sippy as soon as 1 i get my grant because well the school must have forgot and had to manually do it last night and it still has not posted and 2 i cant use my refund card because apparently higherone is having system issues and we cant use the card.

If you don't have the money for an actual sippy, why not just wait until you CAN buy a sippy? The whole point of sippy cups, at least the ones that aren't trainer cups, is to transition off the bottle. Using a bottle with a sippy top kinda goes against that purpose IMO. Just wait until you can buy a sippy cup or 2.

yah but she likes them because she has not teeth my poor baby has no teeth yet at all. thanks tho i got the ones on the bottom for now once her teeth come threw i have different ones.

It was a mistake, imo, giving dd those sippies. It was so hard to get her off of them onto the hard sippies. If you are wanting to get her off the bottle, I would really suggest something else. It is far to similar to a bottle. Also, Dd would bite them and even with no teeth at the time, Rip the holes and they really aren't worth it since, last time I checked, you couldn't just get the sippy "nipples" seperate instead having to buy a new cup every time a "nipple" rips.

What do teeth have to do with sucking? My son used a hard spout fine with no teeth?

I used the bottom one until dd chewed the spout off
now we use this

Same with DD. She was using a harder spout sippy at 6 months.
