We have two and we both have our carry concealed. DH actually owns them both, I haven't bought one just yet so I've not carried yet either but I know how to use both of them and one of them is always left home for me when DH is at work.

Lol thanks. My hubby got it while he was in the army. I can barely pick it under regular circumstances, (its taller than me by quite a bit), but I think if I was in danger or my baby to be was in danger I could pick it up and swing it around enough to do damage. A knife is better than nothing! At least with a knife if you have good aim you can throw it at a throat or something. Lol! That would scare the snot out of somebody!

I didn't find out about it until hours after it happened. My friend text me asking if we were ok. I hopped online to check the news, and tada, there it was.

My husband is gun obsessed. We have well over 20+ guns. I think it is a ridiculous waste of money to have these guns. And for what, to look at them? Ugh.. So ridiculous.

We have one, that's locked up unloaded. I have never shot a gun in my life.

I figured by the time the person broke into my house, they aren't going to wait for me to get my gun.

I like my alarm system instead

no freaking way.

guns are for hunting and military. not my home.

it's not even a valid form of protection. adding another gun to the mix just ensures someone's going to get shot in a break-in scenario. most break-ins the people want money/your stuff and to take it - not to shoot me / my family.

they can have my stuff. i'd prefer to save my life and my child's.

i'm surprised at how many of you are gun-owners w/ small children.

I find it very odd that 99% of the replies to yes are from south states.

Kinda makes it hard to ignore stereotypes

Why is it odd if it's a stereotype?

We don't have a gun , but we are planning on getting one.

My husband and I will both learn how to use it. Mainly me, since I'm less experienced.

Just want to be able to protect ourselves if it came down to it.

No. Guns are next to impossible to get where I'm living and there's no need for them as violent crime is just as rare as guns. Back home I'd consider one if I lived in a violent area but crime is pretty uncommon there too.

yup my entire family are proud gun owners, especially after my sister was almost car jacked at a McDonalds while my niece was in the car. I would rather be able to protect my children on my own terms then to rely on a loud noise. My dad has had guns in the house since before I was born and he showed me how to use them since I was about 5. Both my dad and husband are gun fanatics and I love it, I will be getting my first hand gun on my birthday, but for now I will stick to my rifle and my husbands amazing .45
