c-section blood clots - dr. says normal???

so tonight after I got out of the shower & get dressed I pass a pretty good size blood clot. 6 inches long and 3 inches wide approx & it had some weight to it. I just gave birth 2-5, was released from the hospital on the 8th, I had my first c-section(it was an emergency c-sect.) & tubal ligation. The dr. seen me to check my incision on the 19th all was well. I haven't been bleeding heavy, no cramping and then today I had slight cramping, took a shower & then I pass the clot with bright red blood. I call my obgyn but he is out of town. The obgyn says its probably normal, I should put my feet up and rest. I feel fine now, no more cramping, bleeding is hardly there again. Is that normal??? I'm def. going to let my reg dr. know about it on Monday.

Hmm I was always told after birth if I passed a clot the size of a baseball or larger then it was a cause for concern. Is be a little nervous and make an appointment
