I JUST WANT (not just for the 'holiday')

a friggin man! I haven't had a decent relationship since before DS was born. Hell, I havent had sex since Dec. 31, 2011. I feel I can't have one because I have a child, but all these other moms get boyfriends just like that (maybe because they're irresponsible partiers who dump their children off--BUT STILL!) It's stressing me out for some unknown reason...

You can be a responsible parent and have a relationship also.
You just can't put your partner over your child, and your parner will need to understand you have responsiblities.

Umm wow that was just harsh... you can have a boyfriend and be a responsible parent just like you can be married and not be a responsible parent.... honestly with that attitude I don't blame a guy for not wanting to be with you...

I've had several relationships and a lot of sex in the past 5 years and I'm not an "irresponsible partier who dumps my child off"  

I am a divorced mother of two and I am with an amazing man that is not the father of my children. I am FAR from an "Irresponsible Partier." It's all in finding the right person to be with that accepts the fact that you have children. I don't even go out and "Party" when my kids are with their father and I am free to do whatever I want. Assuming is really not the way to go.

Bad choice of words?

I had one DDwhen I met SO, he used tocome to my bands shows.. He was also a single parent. We didn't dump our kids but we did and do still organise 'us' time which is once or twice a month cause we are gifted with an amazing family to help out.

My cousin on threthe hand met her new hubby when she had two kids.. He was her postman.

I didn't mean it like that. Definitely not intended towards anyone, or to make anyone feel like those are the ONLY people. I just look at other mothers in my town that are in my age group. They're not very good, and haven't grown up for their children.

I am 25 and SO is 34, he is amazing! Don't knock the age before you get to know them. They may surprise you more than you think. Guys in there 20's usually aren't ready to settle down with someone, much less with kids. Just take your time and enjoy your LO. Someone will come you way.
