middle name disagreement

How important is your child's middle name to you? DH and I can't agree on DD's middle name.. What he wants isn't horrible but it would not satisfy me, lol

For baby three I let dude pick the middle name, cos it was going to be a family name on his side. But- there were ones i definitely said no to.
In the end, i don't love or hate the middle name, but i do like that it's honoring his dad.
So, it's important to me not to hate it, but i also know i have bigger battles i'd rather fight.

depends on which child.
W/my son there was no discussion. With my daughter, it was a mutual agreement.
With this one, we can't even agree on a first name. 13 weeks left and no name.

I'm not crazy about my daughters middle name. I picked her first name and XH agreed to it even though he didn't love it. So he picked her middle. I did veto his first choice, but it would have made her initials MAN.

Its important to me. I changed my daughters middle and last name. Before we did that I refused to call her by her legal name as it was tied to her father. I changed it and I am SO glad we did. It may be a name she didnt go by but I still didnt want a name I didnt like.

Ah! Good luck finding a name! Originally, we agreed on our first boy having DH's middle name (which he does) and our first girl having mine. He still wants it that way but whenever I say her name in my head the name I like automatically pops up with no effort like it's supposed to be that way. I guess I'll have to get org it though, lol. I even asked if we could give her both with the one that he likes first but he said no.

SO chose our oldests name, family name on his side so it was fine.
Our second has two middle names, I chose one middle name (Alexander) and then SO and I both agreed to add Michael in honor of both of our Uncles who have passed away.
This time around I have a few in mind but in the end it has to at least flow well and not be something crazy/weird.

Maia's middle name is Roxanne and I honestly don't even think of it unless I have to write out her full name and/or initials for something. It's way less important than I would have ever thought.

It just bugs me a bit to name her something I'm not completely satisfied with but I guess it's a good thing that we both adore her first name!

DD's 1st MN i heard, loved and DH didn't really give an opinion (that i can remember) and her 2 MN is same as mine and goes back 5 generations. i pretty much gave DH free range to pick boy names (before we knew we were having DD) i just had to not hate them. the 2 options he picked were through my suggestions.

I hated her middle name. I did it to appease my ex. Then I changed that smurf along with her last name.
