Naked juices in place of fruits and veggies?

posted 15th Feb
My son cant eat fruits or veggies and hes off formula now for over a year. Ive been worried about his intake since he doenst eat well at all. Ive recently found that he will drink the Red machine and Green machine Naked juices mixed together. Ive checked the ingredients list and the first things on the list of both are all the fruits and veggies in it and it says no sugar added just whats in the fruits. I guess my question does it seem best to keep on with the drinks or none at all? His OT has been working 3x a week with him for years and we just hit more walls then good things

Make fresh smoothies and sneak veggies. It is cheaper and healthier. Water it done for a more juicy affect.

Ive tired over and over again. I cant seem to make it nearly as smooth as they can. He finds the little parts of things in the ones I make and then flat out refuses them for a while   I even got a really good juicer

Have you tried draining it through cheesecloth?

Vitamix!!! SOOOO much better than ANYTHING on the market...even turns strawberry and blackberry seeds to DUST. No chunks of anything in there EVER. Seriously! And you get the WHOLE fruit and veggie so you get all the fiber and such, not just the vitamins in the juice itself!

I freaking LOVE my vitamix!!!

I made 100% fruit ICE CREAM today in 3 mins.

2 cups peaches (frozen)
1 large banana
1/2 cup raspberries (frozen)
1/2 cup almond milk

Set on the smoothie setting, blend, serve. Store leftovers for later

The nutribullet is great but try straining it. If it doesn't work the naked juice is better than sugar filled juices

Yes. But its a BLENDER that is also rated as a juicer (the only one on the market that is rated for BOTH). It doesn't juice in that it doesn't separate juice from pulp...it just turns it ALL into liquid...smooth perfect liquid.

I can literally throw ice in it and make snow.
I can make silky smooth smoothies that are like a dream, even from tough fruits and veggies (like carrots, celery, spinach, beets, apples, oranges, seeded berries, peaches with skin on them, etc). You don't really have to peel, seed or chop anything, just toss it in whole. (Peel citrus fruits, obviously, pith tastes bitter! and remove apple seeds as they contain cyanide, and remove cherry/peach pits, obviously).

I used a beet, a handful of carrots, a handful of spinach, a stalk of celery, an apple, and orange, a half a banana and a big chunk of pineapple and it made a DELICIOUS smoothie that was about the same texture as a Naked Juice---in fact I used to drink lots of naked juice, but now i prefer making my own with more variety!

DH got it for me for Christmas. Paid full price too (dummy!).

Our military exchange sells them for $450 for a basic model (will do everything you need!) and you may be able to find one near you selling them.

Get a good blender, or get a juicer. There are a lot of juice recipes where you can't taste the veggies in them. But my son has issues with the colour, so we put it in a cup with a lid on it so he can't tell the difference lol
