Quoting Mandy Schlatterer:"
Quoting Jennybananna:" I wouldnt put an IV in unless needed. Just ... [snip!] ... That actually sounds like an obviously better method than both... Why wouldn't they just do that? Who do I tell, the doctor?"I would just ask your OB at your next appointment about your options. Ive never had GD or heard of babies needing a sugar drink so im really uneducated it was just the first thing that came to my mind.
Quoting Mandy Schlatterer:"
Quoting Devil Duckie:" you'd seriously choose having her get an ... [snip!] ... :/ So is it okay for her to get the bottle, it probably won't effect it? I've heard mixed things. The syringe sounds good.."1 bottle shouldn't cause issues but if the syringe is an option I would choose that if it were me. Its not something I would want to risk and I have heard of people having issues after 1 bottle (not often but still happens). Although I would choose bottle over IV any day.

Quoting Mandy Schlatterer:" So it's not something to freak out over? I don't know how common or serious nipple confusion is...main ... [snip!] ... effort? My son nursed 23 months and we had a hard time with him falling off his first few weeks so im really afraid, idk..."
Quoting Mandy Schlatterer:"
Quoting Devil Duckie:" yes its fine. Especially, when you're thinking ... [snip!] ... it and bring my colostrum with a syringe instead.. If I froze it from now until delivery (5 or 6 weeks) would it stay good?"You want baby to nurse as much as possible after birth to bring in your milk and help establish supply. Pumping can also cause contractions and pre-term labor. There is no reason to pump at all just nurse your baby.
