Is it just me?

Or are there an awful lot of post about women bitching about what their SOs/DHs got them for V-day? The only time I have ever gotten upset about something DH has got me is when HE made me feel like we didn't have money for it and if we didn't have money now it was because of me. I always really appreciate what he gets me even if it isn't exactly what I wanted. And if he makes me feel like we couldn't really afford it I just tell him how much I appreciated it but maybe we should take it back so we aren't broke over a gift. KWIM? Why can't people just say thank you instead of complaining that they wanted more or better? My sister got a beautiful bouquet of yellow roses with red trim on them from her SO for V-day. They were beautiful and the buds were as big as softballs (I have never seen flowers so nice honestly). And all she kept saying was how she didn't really like flowers especially roses and he knows that.  

yes and its quite annoying. vday has always been just another day for me single or not ive never cared to get anything. its such a stupid overworked up holiday that women should not be stressing about

I've noticed them too. I think I see them every gift giving holidays, birthdays, or anniversaries. People dont know how to be thankful anymore.

I see that every holiday. I guess a woman DH worked with was complaining she got a mop and I can see being bummed about that, but some of the posts I've read are just really petty.

honestly if i had a man id much rather him get me something on a random day to show me he cares, not just because he feels he has to on valentines day

my sister threw a fit that her boyfriend sent her two dozen roses
they are gorgeous
she said she would rather have a card or something more creative and he must have done it last minute

I didn't get anything today   I haven't complained about it either and I won't. I worked 11 hours today at work. I got my DS something and DH didn't say a word. It is just another day to us. Last year he got me a massage gift certificate and it was awesome. I didn't expect him to get that or anything this year. He gave me the baby I'm pregnant with now and I'm definitely okay with that  

I see it too. We exchanged cards and then got in a dumb thing over dog poop   I still had a really nice morning.

The only reason why I even said anything is because I didnt even get a Happy Vday. He worked from 3-11 and now is in the garage waiting for his buddy to come and look at his new truck, while I'm inside with a 2 month old by myself like every other day

I think it's really stupid I and ungrateful. It's not even a real holiday first off and second off they should be grateful they got anything! I got my SO his favorite candies, a hand written letter and a nets hat. He was beyond happy and I was too with his gifts. Even if he got me nothing, I wouldn't care. I don't expect smurf any other day so why would I expect anything on a holiday made so hallmark can make money

People are just so ungrateful. I would of been happy getting a kiss and SO saying "Happy Valentines Day". Just knowing he's here, being a good SO, being an awesome Dad is more then enough.

Yeah I am the same. I love just because I love you presents. DH use to do that a lot. Bring me flowers and stuff. They weren't the pretty flowers that my sister's So got her but it meant the world to me that he even went to the trouble pick them out and get them for me. ya know?
