slow flow nipple

posted 14th Feb
okay so I am planning our fist date night soon (since our son was born almost 10 months ago). I need to buy another nipple to the bottle my son has taken to before. My cat decided it would be a great idea to chew up the other nipple. My son has taken the playtex drop ins and first years: breastflow. I still had some playtex drop in nipples but now my son wont take the nipple....just chews on it. I was thinking of getting another breastflow nipple but didn't know if I should get the first stage (slow) or second stage (medium). I also don't really know how my son will react without me gone. I am a SAHM and he has only taken about 10 bottles his entire life and has only been away from me two times and it was a max of an hour and a half total. Anxiety is probably going to set in because I don't want him to be upset without me.

I just didn't know if I was supposed to get slow or medium. He has never had formula. Breastmilk only.

DS is 8 1/2 months and still uses slow flow...he totally refuses the fast flow. even when it drips too much from the slow flow he won't take the bottle

DD is 10 months and uses medium. she CAN do fast flow, but medium is what came with her current bottles and they work fine for her. slow flow would just piss her off. lol.

Is he going to be drinking formula or bm through the bottle?? Formula is thicker than bm so you might want to go fast flow. If it's bm you could do medium. However, at 10 months old he likely has a good enough suck that it really doesn't matter. As for the bottle, hopefully he will just take it because you are not around to offer the boob.
