vent about cosleeping

Everyone is telling me i need to stop cosleeping and "that baby needs to be in his own bed". I never give unsolicited advice and i never tell anyone in my family what they should or shouldnt be doing with their kids and i dont think its too much to ask for the same in return. The only one who doesnt say anything is SO and im so grateful to have him because he is super supportive of everything i decide, but i wish my family would be the same. Just needed to vent

I swear my husband wants us to all sleep together forever lol

Everyone has always told me the same thing..pfft. You live, you learn. You can parent however you want. Our 3yo still sleeps with us occassionally.

next time ask them whats so bad about co sleeping.. but yea i would just try to ignore them for the most part. youre doing what you think is best for YOUR family

im jealous. i wish my son would sleep with me sometimes lol. only time he does is if hes really sick and just passes out

If someone told me that about my daughter, I'd tell them THEY can take care of her all night if they want her to sleep in her own bed.

I'm pretty much the opposite lol. I co-slept with my daughter since she was born because it was just easier to let her sleep next to me and have my breast all night. Because of that I ended up breastfeeding longer that I originally wished (I wanted to breastfeed just until 2 years, ended up going closer to 3) and she still won't sleep unless I lay next to her, and practically every night she comes to my bed in the middle of the night. DH likes me to sleep in the middle so he can hug me and my daughter will only be next to me, so I'm stuck squashed between them. <_< Totally not co-sleeping with the next one.

Yeah ours have had a nasty cold this week. He went back in his room last night..only to come back to our room tonight. He turned off his tv, came in the livingroom and told me he didnt want to sleep in his room lol

I love snuggling him. Even when he sleeps in his room, he comes in ours at around 4/5am. We have the babys crib sidecarred though, so I end up a mommy sandwhich haha

i ask him here and there if he wants to sleep with me and he always denies me and says he wants to sleep in his bed with his cool lights

I have, they tell me i wont be able to get him to sleep on his own when he is older.

Yeah our sons bed is like being in a rocketship lol glow in the dark stars, moons, planets. And he has multicolored blinking led lights. I wish I could sleep in there lol When he gets his new bed soon, I may haha

i dont know how my son sleeps with so many lights. he has a moon, a lava lamp. a dream light, and a night light.

I love snuggling with LO and i know it wont last forever so im trying to enjoy it while it lasts

We have one of those moon lamps too, it eats batteries! He has to have his guitar lamp on too or he gets upset. We have blackout curtains, we like it dark lol but we have to sleep with a 15w lamp on so they dont freak out. Our youngest stole the twighlight turtle lol He wont let his brother have it back.

OP, enjoy him as much as you can while he is little! It is hard to transition them..but when you do..give him a big boy room and make it super special!
