omfg hell no!!!

so i went and took a shower, when i got out my dad was talking to MY 2 MONTH OLD SON and was like did you like that icing? i was like did you give him icing, like icing off of a cake... he was like yeah i did. i freaked the smurf out!!! omg, i swear i can't even take a damn shower without worrying wtf people are giving my child in this house. he is too damn little to be having icing!!! i hope im not overreacting, i feel like im not but idc im pissed. he is only 2 months, and he is giving him sweets behind my back. i guess im gonna have to start taking my son and putting him in the bathroom with me while i shower. idk what else to do. im beyond pissed i had to vent about this. does he not know this could smurfing hurt him? ughhhhhh.

I understand you're pissed, but honestly, it really won't kill him. At the most, he'll have an upset tummy. Sorry he gave your son icing though, especially at 2 months old.

I mean a little bit of icing isn't going to hurt him so I think in that aspect you're overacting but he's your child so if that's something that you feel strongly about then you either have to sit down and talk to your dad or put him in the bathroom with you

OP I remember being a crazy hyper over protective new mom, but now my advice would be just to ask your dad not to do it again and move on.

it just makes me mad because i wish he would of atleast asked me. but no, like he tried giving him a jolly rancher at like 1 month old. im just tired of him always going behind my back feeding my child stuff i don't won't him to have.

Then don't let him watch your son...? I mean, if you can't trust him to do as you ask, then don't let him watch your son.

they really don't lol! i know i mean sound overreacted, i just didn't won't him having it at 2 months.. i mean i could kinda understand at maybe 5 months i wouldn't be so upset.. but 2 months. idk, i just feel kinda mad cause he didn't atleast ask me :/

A little icing isn't going to hurt him, however, I DO see why you were upset - it was a very understandable responce.

I used to take the bouncy seat in the bathroom and put my babies right next to the sink....it was for different reasons, mainly being the only person there & if they cried I needed to hear it, but, it worked out really well.

actually it was my mama watching him, while i showered. my dad was asleep, but he must of woke up while i was in the shower and he gave him that.

yeahhh, that's what im saying. i just feel lately they are really pressuring me into giving him solids and stuff already. i just have to vent sometimes about it. he was trying to give him pepsi like a few days ago o.o i just kind of freaked about the icing because i thought it was too thick, and would hurt him.

Yeah, I'd start bringing him into the bathroom with you when you get a shower. They obviously don't respect you enough to respect your wishes.
