Hyperemesis Gravidarum...

I was just wondering if any of you ladies have had this? I have it and it sucks and I just wanted to know what you did to keep yourself moving forward and make time go by faster? I've lost 38 pounds and haven't gained any, I'm 24 weeks pregnant and ready to have my baby already! lol

I've had it with both pregnancies but more severely with this one.
Luckily it went away already but I would just try to make it one day and look forward to the next and until the end of it. I had IV's at home and I had the Zofran pump. My nurse came daily to check my keytones, change my IV's and monitor me.
HG is the reason I am not having any more children

I hear you, I tell everyone that this is going to be my only one because I hear it gets worse with the more kids you have. But, they don't believe me. I've been to the ER getting IVs probably 30 or more times... it's exhausting.
Did you have your baby early? I hear it causes early birth.

Yes I had it with both of my pregnancies. Ended up hospitalized both times, sucked so bad. It's a big reason why I refuse to have any more children.

Was any of your babies born early at all?

My first was born at 37w my second at 38w.

My HG cleared up around 20w with both of them.

My HG stopped both times in second trimester. So no.. I missed eating so much I gained 60 lbs with my first nd I can't stop eating with this now lol
I went overdue with my first and I have yet to see with this one

I'm so jealous of both of you... I'm 24 weeks and it hasn't slowed down at all. I was at the ER last night getting an IV and Zofran. It doesn't help that the Doctors here seem to not know how to treat HG. They said if my case lasts until I give birth then I'll be in the hospital before I even go into labor.

Does the zofran work for you? It worked for me with my first but with my second it did nothing for me and I ended up with Reglan which helped a bit more.

Not a lot of doctors know or understand HG (sadly)
That's why I always did my own research and knew my options. With this one I went in knowing exactly what I needed and I'm sure it helped. With my first the original OB that I had requested to no longer be my doctor as soon as I was released from the hospital and told I had HG.
Stay strong and look forward to a happy ending. With my first I had no signs of it getting better then all of the sudden it stopped at 26 weeks.

I still have the horrid excessive saliva :/ i am soooo looking forward to labor! As u are I'm sure lol

No, the Zofran used to work, but it doesn't. They've had me on Zofran, Reglan, and Phenergan. But none of which worked. I just throw them up as soon as I swallow them, just like food or drinks. They've tried putting me on a suppository for the Phenergan too, but that doesn't work.

Reglan gave me the WORST panic attack at the hospital O_O
I yanked all my cables off nd they held me from wanting to run away. I wanted them to rip my stomach open and take the baby out. It was such a horrible feeling!
And phenergen put me to sleep lol

Have you tried the dissolving ones? Or asked about the pump?

Yeah, I was going to request to change OB doctors because I know maybe it will get better, but I HATE when people who haven't experienced it, tell me that it's not as bad as I'm making it out to be... But I'm praying mine will stop soon, because like you said, I really am ready to have him already lol. And with the Reglan, I've never had any reactions like that, but I bet they were wondering why that made you react that way lol

I only have taken the dissolving ones and their magic wore off. It used to work and I thought it was my "magic feel" but, it stopped.
